Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Anna Pacitto’s love affair with hairstyling began at a very young age learning from her very first mentor, her father, who was a barber and a salon owner. Drawn to the hair industry as a means of self-expression, she embarked on a career to hone her skills and make her innate talent grow.

Anna’s creative spark has led her to imagine stunning hair and beauty looks for runway shows, crafting editorial masterpieces for leading fashion publications, as well as sharing her gift with others in the industry through her numerous education seminars.

The founding of Pure Salon with business associates in 1998 marked a significant milestone in Anna’s career. Located in downtown Montreal, Pure quickly became one of the hotspots in the city for creativity in hair styling and hair colouring; clients loved the Pure experience. The salon also made a mark in the professional hairstyling industry by winning many prestigious awards. 

As the driving force behind Pure, Anna cultivated a team of like-minded artists who shared her passion for innovation and craftsmanship. Together, they pushed the boundaries of hairstyling, constantly striving to elevate their art to new heights. Under her guidance, Pure became synonymous with excellence, attracting a loyal clientele and garnering acclaim within the industry.

A Sustainable Mindset 

In the mid 2010s, Anna’s journey takes a new exciting turn when she joins forces with Davines, an Italian hair care brand renowned for its commitment to sustainability and ethical practices. As part of Davines’ global artistic team, Anna finds a new platform to showcase her talent on the international stage. Through her work with Davines, Anna inspires fellow artists around the world.

In 2015, she is appointed as Artistic Director of Intercoiffure America Canada (ICAN), a prestigious organization representing the elite of the salon industry. In this role, Anna has taken on the responsibility of guiding and inspiring fellow hairdressers, sharing her expertise and passion to elevate standards and foster innovation within the community. Her tenure at ICAN has been marked by a commitment to education, collaboration, and inclusivity, as she worked tirelessly to empower artists and shape the future of the industry.

In addition to her many successes at the Contessa Awards, her multiple talents as a true artist have also been recognized on the international stage through the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA). NAHA, presented by the Professional Beauty Association, is renowned for honouring the best in hairstyling, recognizing excellence in creativity, skill, and artistic expression. NAHA celebrates the best and brightest hair talents in North America.
